Ykua Bolaños is a spring in Caazapá named after the Franciscan monk Fray Luis de Bolaños who legend has it brought the spring to life with his staff. This spring is famed for never running dry even during severe drought periods (Ykua Bolaños is also the name of a large supermarket in Asunción which burned down in 2004 killing over 400 people).
