¡Adiosmante 2012! ¿Mba’e la porte, 2013?

[column width=”47%” padding=”6%”]

2012 saw many great advances in the Paraguayan tourism industry (new hostels, engaging events such as Puerto Abierto, and the return of a Miami-Asunción American Airlines route, to name a few) and with any luck the trend will continue in 2013! I´d like to take the opportunity to thank the Discovering Paraguay community for all your support throughout 2012. As many of you know (either because you follow Discovering Paraguay or noticed the lovely cover image in the sidebar) my guidebook to Paraguay was finally completed and published in August of 2012. I am very thankful to everyone who has purchased a copy of the book, shared it with friends, and taken the time to write a review on Amazon – your support, feedback and encouragement has been very welcome! I´d especially like to thank the Paraguay ex-pat and volunteer community for your support in getting the word out about both my guidebook and this blog.

I hope you will continue to discover Paraguay with me throughout 2013, be it through the guidebook, blog, or the Discovering Paraguay Facebook page. As always, I welcome your suggestions for topics to cover as well as any recommendations you might have for the second edition of the guidebook (yes, already taking notes!).

Happy travels!

¡Felices viajes!
Natalia Goldberg

There’s a new (less than a year old) restaurant in Villa Morra called No Me Olvides that’s worth checking out for the second edition. Also, I love your posts about exotic Paraguayan plants and fruit and I’d love to see posts about nispero, inga, guavirami, acerola, yvapovo, etc.

Yes 2012 was a wonderful year for Paraguay and 2013 looks full of growth and opportunity. We are excited on all ends. Whenever you would like to do that interview we would love to have you 🙂
