Here is a funny television spot released by Personal this year. It does a great job of incorporating a lot of Paraguayan imagery and culture. The spot is called “Tukae” which means “tag” (as in the game of tag). We see four teams of race car drivers playing tag throughout Paraguay. The funniest part is when drivers stop in the middle of a field to ask the Jasy Jatere for directions (taking care to cover their eyes).
Of course it is hard to watch the spot without thinking of this year´s controversy over the environmental damage caused by cars tearing through the countryside during the Transchaco Rally. But that matter is for a different post!

Este es una propaganda que sacó Personal este año por la tele. Hace un buen trabajo de incorporar imágenes de Paraguay y su cultura. El spot se llama “Tukae” lo cual significa “te toca a tí.” Vemos cuatro equipos de autos de carrera jugando al “tukae” en todo el Paraguay. La parte más chistosa es cuando un equipo para en el medio de una chacra para pedirle direcciones al Jasy Jatere (tomando la precaución de cubrirse los ojos).
Es difícil ver la propaganda, que muestra los autos corriendo a toda bala por los ecosistemas del Paraguay, sin pensar en la controversia del Transchaco Rally de este año… pero eso será para otra entrada del blog!
