Just went to our barrio's San Juan in Asuncion. What a blast! Pelota Tata, Toro candil, Kambuchi ojejoko, Judas Kai, Casamiento Kogua, A banda tipica, danza tipica and more. Really missed a good Yvyrasyi and pajaso kamba these are mainstays in the interior where we used to live.

All the great foods too: Pastel Mandio, Pajagua Mascada, Chicharo trenzado, Asaditos, Mbeju and Mbostifara. The highlight for me were the abuelitas with there frying pans over their braseros. Sitting, talking, laughing and turning their Mbeju with a flick of the wrist and a quick low toss in the air.

This is Paraguay traditional culture at it's best!
