“Jacare” is the Guaraní word for crocodile. Remember that the “j” is really a “y” so it is pronounced “yah” (like a Midwestern “oh yah”) “ka” (kamasutra) “ré” (renegade). In fact sometimes you´ll see it spelled with a “y.”
But “jacare” has another more mischeivous meaning. In general it can be used to imply doing something in a secretive manner, but more specifically “Jacare” is what you call a man who sneaks into his girlfriend or mistress´bedroom window. So if someone says “me voy de jacaré” (I´m going yacaré-style) that means they are up to no good!
